Statement Regarding COVID-19

Dear Valued Clients,


First, we thank you for your continued trust in us. Our team remains dedicated to delivering high quality pet care and we thank you for your support. Our Pet Care Professionals rely on their job at Barkley Square Professional Pet Services as their sole source of income. We are taking all precautions feasible so they can continue to safely care for your pets.
 

  • Here is a summary of the safety protocols we are implementing, or that are already in place:

 

  • We have asked each pet care professional to carry and use antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer. They have been instructed to use the hand sanitizer before entering a home and to wash their hands continually throughout the day.

 

  • Our team has also been instructed to minimize touching any surface in your home. They are only to touch needed supplies and materials, and to wipe the surfaces touched after use. 

 

  • If you have any antibacterial products you would like us to use, please leave them on your counter and update your client profile with instructions. It would be great to consolidate what your pet care professional needs near your front door. It’s better for us and for you if we don’t have to walk through your home during this time.

 

  • We have reminded our team that when walking a dog, maintain a 6 foot distance or cross the street when approaching a person. If you have a backyard and just want us to play with your pup there just let us know.

 

  • If a team member has any symptoms, they are asked to communicate with their manager ASAP to have their work reassigned immediately.


We hope you will continue to rely on us whether you are home teleworking, have children that have not returned to school, or have had some other change in your daily care routine. If you are self-quarantining, please contact us so we can discuss special needs. We have changed some of the terms of our cancellation policy during this time, so feel free to contact us with any questions.


Some clients have inquired about how they can continue to support their pet care professional during this time. If you are telecommuting from home and your salary is not impacted and you are financially able to continue to support our business or other service businesses that you would normally use, please feel free to do so with our gratitude. 


Please notify our office with any reservation changes, we will continue to operate as normal. Please notify us if you’d like to continue to pay for the service but not have someone conduct the visit, or if you have any schedule changes. We will make the
appropriate adjustments and notify your pet care professional. 


We can also work with you to minimize contact by asking our pet care professional to alert you when they are arriving to facilitate access to your dog while minimizing any exposure. Our pet care professionals will continue to wash their hands when entering and leaving your home and/or use hand sanitizer.

As this situation continues to evolve, and we will be monitoring any, and all updates. Based on the information that is available at this time, in addition to our own standards and practices, we remain open for business to take care of your pets.
