Spahn finished his career with 363 career wins including 13 20-win seasons. 2008 - The Braves avoid arbitration with reliever Rafael Soriano by signing him to a two-year, $9 million deal. Atlanta acquired Soriano from the Seattle Mariners in December of 2006 in exchange for Horacio Ramirez. He would turn in three solid seasons for the Braves posting a 2.95 ERA and a 3.39 FIP in 161 2/3 innings. Atlanta would trade Soriano to the Rays in December of 2009 in exchange for right-hander Jesse Chavez. 2013 - Atlanta acquires outfielder Justin Upton from the Arizona Diamondbacks in a seven-player deal.
